Commercial litigation firms use Mike to review contracts and document productions, build chronologies of a dispute, research case law and draft pleadings, discovery and motion sections. Every answer cites the document and page it came from, so the team can check it against the record.

A business dispute is decided on documents: the contract, the amendments, the emails, the invoices, the board minutes. Mike reads them across a matter, finds the clause or the message that matters, and keeps track of who said what and when, so the argument is built on the record instead of on recollection.

Cuanto Labs installs Mike for your firm, connects it to the folders where matter files and productions live, and loads your own brief bank and discovery forms. Documents covered by a protective order stay inside your firm's own installation.

## What Mike does for your practice

- **Contract dispute analysis.** Mike reads the contract and its amendments and answers questions about what the agreement requires, such as notice, payment, termination and remedies, citing section and page. When an amendment changes a clause, Mike says so.
- **Dispute chronologies.** Mike builds a dated chronology from emails, contracts, invoices and meeting notes, with each entry linked to its source, so the sequence of events in a breach case is laid out before anyone drafts a pleading.
- **Production review and issue coding.** Tabular review pulls fields you define, such as date, author, recipient, subject and issue, from every document in a production, so reviewers work from a table and attorneys can sort by what matters.
- **Motion and brief drafting.** Mike drafts statements of fact and argument sections from the record and from case law it has read, and your attorneys edit the Word document. Case-law citations are checked against CourtListener before they appear.
- **Discovery drafts.** Mike drafts requests, interrogatories and responses from your templates and the pleadings, and compares responses against the documents produced to flag gaps.
- **Damages workbooks.** Mike builds an Excel workbook of lost profits or contract damages inputs from the invoices and financial statements in the file, with a source reference on every figure for the expert to check.

## How we set it up for your firm

- **Matter files, connected.** We connect Mike to the drive or document system where your matters and productions live, so a case team can ask questions across thousands of documents without a second upload.
- **Your brief bank and forms.** We load the briefs, motion templates and discovery forms your firm has built, so drafts start from your prior work and your style.
- **Review templates for productions.** We build tabular review templates for the fields your team codes, so the same questions are asked of every document.
- **Chronology and custodian tables.** We set up the dated-event table your team uses for key documents, with columns for custodian, document date, source page and the claim or defense each entry supports.
- **Discovery response tracker.** We build a template that lists each request, objection, response and supplementation deadline across a matter, so a case team sees the open discovery items at a glance.

## Questions attorneys ask

### How does Mike handle a large production?

Mike reads documents in a matter and searches across them, and tabular review pulls the same fields from each document into a sortable table. Large productions take time to process, and we size the installation to your caseload. Pages that cannot be read are reported rather than guessed at. It helps to define the review fields first, so that Mike pulls the same information from every document in a consistent way.

### Can Mike edit a brief that is already drafted?

Yes. Mike can edit a Word document and show its changes as tracked changes, so a partner can accept or reject each one the usual way. It can also generate new Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, such as a damages workbook or a hearing deck. A partner reviews the tracked changes in Word the way they would review any associate's edits.

### Is it acceptable to use AI in litigation?

Courts and bar associations are issuing guidance, and some judges require disclosure or certification. Mike keeps every statement tied to a source, which makes verification easy, and an attorney reviews all work product. Your firm decides what to use and what to disclose, and we can set up around your policy.

### Can Mike verify the case citations it gives me?

Mike searches published case law, reads the opinions, and checks case-law citations against CourtListener before an answer is given. Each citation links to the opinion so you can read it. Statutes, rules and treatises are not checked this way. Mike does not replace your own cite check before filing, and if a citation cannot be confirmed, the answer says so.

### Can Mike help with a protective order or a privilege log?

Mike can read a production against the confidentiality designations in an order and list the documents that appear to carry a legend or privilege marker, with the page of each. It can draft privilege log entries from the author, recipients, date and subject it finds. The attorney decides what is privileged and signs off on the log before service.

### Can Mike build a damages or timeline exhibit for mediation?

Yes. From the contract, invoices and payment records in the matter, Mike can produce an Excel workbook of damages by period and a PowerPoint chronology for a mediation statement. Each figure and date carries the page it came from, so the team can trace a number before it is shown to the other side or the mediator.
