Product liability firms use Mike to read design files, testing reports, recall notices and incident records, compare versions of the same document, and draft discovery requests and case summaries. Each answer cites the page it relied on, so an attorney can check it against the production.

These cases are built from technical documents that nobody wrote for a courtroom: engineering change orders, failure analyses, warnings drafts, complaint logs. Mike reads them in bulk, keeps track of which version said what and when, and surfaces the passages that bear on design, warning and manufacturing theories.

Cuanto Labs sets Mike up against your production folders and expert files, loads your discovery templates, and builds the production review columns with your litigation team. Material under a protective order stays inside your firm's own installation.

## What Mike does for your practice

- **Reading document productions.** Mike works through a manufacturer's production and builds a table of each document with its date, author, subject and a short description, so a large production becomes something you can sort and filter by theory of the case.
- **Warning and label comparison.** Give Mike several versions of a warning, label or instruction manual and it lists what changed between them, with the page of each version, so you can see when language was added, softened or removed.
- **Incident and complaint pattern review.** Mike reads complaint logs, warranty claims and incident reports and groups them by failure mode, component and date, so notice arguments rest on documents you can point to.
- **Discovery request drafts.** Mike drafts requests for production and interrogatories from your template, using what the file shows about the product, its components and the manufacturer's own terminology. The draft arrives as a Word document, and revisions are tracked.
- **Expert report intake.** Upload an expert's report and the materials it relies on, and Mike lists each opinion, the documents cited for it and any cited document that is not in the file.
- **Case law research.** Mike searches published case law on the questions your claim turns on, such as design defect tests, failure to warn or the effect of post-sale changes, and reads the opinions before it summarizes them.

## How we set it up for your firm

- **Production folders and Bates ranges.** We connect Mike to the folders holding each production, organized by producing party and Bates range, so every cited page can be matched to the production number.
- **Discovery request templates.** We load the requests for production, interrogatories and meet and confer letters your firm already uses, so drafts match your format.
- **Production review columns.** We build tabular review templates for the fields you track in a product case, such as document date, component, version number and custodian.
- **Document version sets.** We group warnings, labels, specifications and manuals by product and version, so comparisons run between the right pairs of documents.
- **Privilege log layout.** We load your privilege log columns and cover letter, so a review of your own client's documents ends in the layout the other side expects.

## Questions attorneys ask

### Can Mike sort a manufacturer's production by theory of the case?

Ask for a table with one row per document and columns for date, author, subject, component and the theory it bears on, such as design, warning or manufacturing. Mike fills the columns from the document and links each cell to its page. Theory tags are suggestions for the attorney to confirm, and unreadable pages are marked so someone can look.

### Can Mike compare two versions of the same document?

Yes. Mike can read two versions of a warning, specification or policy and list the differences, with the page where each appears. It reports what changed. The attorney decides whether the change matters to the claim, and can open each cited page to confirm. The same approach works for design drawings described in text, specification sheets, instruction manuals and internal policies, as long as each version is in the matter.

### Does Mike evaluate whether a product was defective?

No. Defect is a legal and technical judgment for the attorney and the experts. Mike organizes the documents, shows where passages bear on design, warning or manufacturing theories, and drafts requests and summaries that the attorney reviews and edits. Where an expert's opinion depends on a document, Mike can show you that document and the passage so you can read it in context before the opinion is relied on.

### Can Mike link a complaint pattern to what the company knew and when?

It groups complaints, warranty claims and incident reports by failure mode and date, and lists the earliest document in the file that mentions each. That gives the attorney a documented sequence to build a notice argument on. It reports what the produced documents show. Documents the manufacturer did not produce cannot appear in the table.

### Can we keep documents designated confidential separate?

Yes. Productions can be organized into separate folders by designation, and a review table can be run on one designation at a time or across all of them. Which documents may be loaded or shared with experts remains governed by the protective order, and the attorney applies its terms. Mike does not interpret the order for you.

### Can it help us respond when we are the ones producing?

Mike can read your own client's documents and build a table of their dates, authors and subjects to support a privilege and responsiveness review. Attorneys make every call. Mike does not decide what is privileged or what is produced. It can also draft the privilege log columns and the cover letter from your template, which the attorney reviews before service on the other side.
