Trademark and copyright firms use Mike to review clearance search reports, draft office action responses and cease and desist letters, and table a client's registrations and licenses. Every statement cites the document and page it came from, so attorneys can verify the facts before a letter goes out.

Brand and content work is a steady flow of small, document-heavy matters. A search report lists dozens of marks, a client sends screenshots of a suspected infringer, and a license has to be checked against what the client actually registered. Mike keeps the facts straight across these files and drafts the first version of the letter or opinion.

Cuanto Labs installs Mike for your firm, connects it to the folders where your brand files live, and loads your own letter templates and clearance memo formats. Unannounced brand names and client creative work stay inside your firm's own installation.

## What Mike does for your practice

- **Clearance report review.** Mike reads a full search report and groups the marks that matter by similarity of sound, appearance, meaning and goods or services. It drafts a clearance memo in your format that lists each closest mark, its owner and status, and the points an attorney should weigh.
- **Cease and desist letters.** Given the client's registration, screenshots and evidence of use, Mike drafts a demand letter in your firm's template with the facts stated and cited to the file. The attorney sets the tone and the demands before it is sent.
- **Office action responses.** Mike reads an examining attorney's refusal and the cited registrations and drafts argument sections on likelihood of confusion, descriptiveness or specimen issues, with amendments to the identification shown as tracked changes in Word.
- **Portfolio tables.** Tabular Review pulls marks, registration numbers, classes, filing and renewal dates and owners from a client's records into one sortable table, which your docketing team can reconcile against its own system.
- **License and assignment review.** Mike reads licenses, coexistence agreements, work-for-hire agreements and assignments and extracts the scope, territory, term, quality control and termination provisions, flagging chain of title gaps it sees in the documents.
- **Infringement and fair use research.** Mike searches published case law on likelihood of confusion factors, fair use and dilution questions, and reads the opinions before summarizing them. Each case it cites is checked against CourtListener before the answer is given.

## How we set it up for your firm

- **Your brand files, connected.** We connect Mike to the drive or document system where your client brand files, specimens and correspondence are kept, so attorneys ask about a mark without gathering documents.
- **Your letter and memo templates.** We load your cease and desist letters, clearance memos, office action responses and license forms, so drafts come back in your voice and format.
- **Clearance workflow.** We turn the way your team reads a search report into a saved workflow, so every clearance review follows the same factors and ends in the same memo structure.
- **Registration table template.** We build a Tabular Review template with the fields you track for each mark or work, set once to match your docketing reports.
- **Goods and services wording.** We load the identification language your firm reuses for each class, so office action amendments and new applications draw on wording you have used before.
- **Platform takedown forms.** We load your notice forms for marketplaces and hosting platforms, so a takedown request starts from the template you already trust.

## Questions attorneys ask

### Can Mike run a trademark search?

Mike does not query trademark registries on its own. It reads the search reports, registrations and records you add to a matter and works from them, and we can connect other research sources your firm subscribes to. Its strength is analyzing and organizing what the search returned, with a citation for each point.

### Will Mike decide whether marks are confusingly similar?

It can group and compare marks, apply the factors courts discuss, and cite what it found in the search report and in published case law. The judgment about the risk and the advice to the client belong to the attorney. Think of the output as a well-organized first draft of the analysis.

### Can it help with copyright registrations and licenses?

Yes. Mike reads licenses, assignments and work-for-hire agreements to extract scope, territory, term and chain of title, and drafts correspondence from your templates. It can table a client's works with their dates and owners. Filing forms and fees remain your firm's process, handled the way you do today. Mike can also compare a license against what the client actually owns, and flag gaps.

### How does it handle evidence like screenshots?

Mike reads text in documents and images that have been through text recognition, and lists what a screenshot shows when the text is legible. It does not authenticate evidence. Put the screenshots in the matter folder with dates and sources, and the draft letter can cite them as exhibits. Exhibits can then be listed in the letter and checked by the attorney.

### Does Mike help with renewal and maintenance dates?

Mike tables the filing, registration and renewal dates it finds in a client's records, which your docketing team can reconcile against its own system. It is not a docketing system and does not send reminders, so deadlines still belong in the calendar your firm relies on. A saved workflow can list the dates found in each new certificate or notice so staff can enter them.
