A legal AI workspace built around your firm's own files.
Mike searches case law, reads the documents your firm already has, and drafts memos and letters that cite the exact page it relied on. Cuanto Labs sets it up for your firm and your practice, and keeps it running.
Attorney: Was the three-day notice in Alvarez valid? Check the lease and the deposition, then draft a short memo.
Mike: The notice was likely defective. Section 14.2 of the lease requires written notice by certified mail [1], and Ms. Alvarez testified that she only received it by email [2]. The statutory form also asks the landlord to state the rent due, and this notice leaves the amount blank [3]. I drafted a memo setting out both defects.
- [1] Residential lease, § 14.2, p. 9
- [2] Alvarez deposition, 42:7 to 42:15
- [3] Fla. Stat. § 83.56(3), form of notice

Built for the law you practice
A personal injury firm and an M&A practice read different documents and draft different things. We configure Mike for your practice areas: the sources it searches, the templates it drafts from, and the columns it pulls when it reviews a stack of files.
- What it reads
- Medical records, bills, police reports, intake forms and adjuster correspondence.
- What it drafts
- Treatment chronologies, demand letters in your template, and deposition outlines.
- Tabular Review columns
- Provider, date of service, diagnosis, treatment, billed amount and gaps in care.

Set up around your firm
No two firms keep their files the same way. Each setup is built around yours, whether you practice alone or across several offices.
- Your documents, connected
- Case folders, your document archive, email and calendar, searchable from one chat, with every answer citing the page it came from.
- Your templates and house style
- Your firm's own forms, precedents and playbooks loaded in, so drafts come back in your format and your voice.
- Research sources for your practice
- US case law is built in through CourtListener. We connect the statutes, regulations and research services your attorneys already rely on.
- Hosted where you choose
- On your own hardware or a private cloud account. Your matters never sit in a shared product alongside other firms.
- Models your policy allows
- Pick the AI providers your firm has approved. Swap them later without retraining anyone.
- Accounts by invitation
- Your administrator adds each attorney and staff member. Google or single sign-on, two-factor, and no public sign-up.

Questions firms ask
What is Mike?
Mike is a legal AI workspace for law firms. It searches US case law, reads the documents your firm already has, reviews stacks of files into tables, and drafts memos, letters and markups in Word with tracked changes. Every answer links to the page or case it relied on. Cuanto Labs sets it up for your firm and keeps it running.
Is Mike private enough for client files?
Each firm gets its own installation, hosted on the firm's hardware or in a private cloud account, with its own database and file storage. Only people your administrator adds can sign in. Prompts go to the AI provider your firm approves, under your own account, or to a model running on your own hardware.
How does Mike handle made-up citations?
Mike checks case-law citations against CourtListener and reads the opinion before it summarizes a holding, and it links each statement to the source page. That makes review fast, but an attorney should still read every authority before relying on it, as ABA Formal Opinion 512 expects.
Which AI models does Mike use?
The ones your firm approves. Mike works with Anthropic, Google Gemini and OpenAI models through your firm's own account, and with models run locally through Ollama for firms that want nothing to leave their own machines. You can change providers later without changing how attorneys work.
Is Mike open source?
Yes. Mike is open-source software under the AGPL-3.0 license, developed in public on GitHub. Your IT team can read the code your installation runs. Cuanto Labs is an independent company that installs, configures and supports it for law firms.
Who is Mike for?
Law firms of any size, from solo practices to firms with several offices, in more than 40 practice areas. Each setup is configured for the firm's own practices: the documents it reads, the templates it drafts from and the review columns it fills in.
